“Taste of Dubai 2014” – the foodie festival.
It was definitely the fantasy trip for a foodie to satisfy the taste buds, and I am a food lover for whom every station in Taste of Dubai had something 😉 Starting from yummy treats sampling to the cookery classes in zone it has a lot to offer the visitors. A very well organized event with live Music and immense activities which has attracted masses from all over UAE. The rainy weather has actually just halted the activities for few min, but overall the lively atmosphere has just provided all the entertainment with amazing food to public.
Internationally renowned chefs were there from Dubai’s hottest restaurants to champion all that’s great about dining in UAE. Guests were able to enjoy fare from some of Dubai’s best restaurants, sample produce from food and drink exhibitors, polish their culinary techniques in the Kenwood Cookery School and pick up tips from a cast of world-famous chefs who shared their secrets live on stage in the Philips Chefs’ Theatre.
I personally loved the Star power cast of award winning master patisserie and international baking star, Eric Lanlard, as well as Michelin award winning French super-chef, Jean-Christophe Novelli, they simply steal the show at Chef’s Theatre, where OSN Food Network chefs Jenny Morris, Reza Mohammad and Siba Mtongana have also joined the line-up.
My friends and family immensely like the Eric’s baking techniques and idea he has presented in the live demo at Kenwood Cookery School.
It was indeed my favorite live show of the event where Saba Wahid has very well presented and I enjoyed making salad too.
Stands in the market area include Pinkberry, cupcake rivals HeySugar and Magnolia Bakery, Korean supermarket A Mart, CheeseCake Factory and the intriguing Gourmet Stall as my favorites.
Kids & youngsters are kept occupied with a dedicated Kids Zone, with a host of edutainment activities including a play area, reading area – and a live cooking station where chefs will teach toddlers to prep their favorite snacks and a stage for Fitness and Dancing shows, a very well organized zone by Splash n Bounce.
Maggi Kitchen also caught attention of a lot of attendees. All is all it was City’s biggest food festival with must sees activities and dedicated space where you can sample a premier selection of food and beverages with a lot of new eateries to its impressive portfolio this year I would say. Being a foodie I love the selected Asian cuisine and some of the European-inspired Dishes from the steak and grill varieties.
So looking forward for 2015 – Taste of Dubai !
